Short Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival and meeting our tour coordinator.
Transfer to the hotel by walking. Check in at the hotel. In the evening you can experience the majestic Poora Chamayam and immerse yourself in the authentic Thrissur Pooram vibe. You can see the Pooram Chamayam (festival ornaments)
used for elephants in the Pooram. Later, visit Paramekkavu & Thiruvambadi. Temples. Dinner (your own). Overnight Stay at hotel
Day 2: - Thrissur Pooram
Morning visit to Vadakkumnatha Temple. After breakfast get ready to experience Madathilvaravu—an important ritual where the famous Panchavadya melam is performed. The rhythm and power of the music energize the crowd and create an atmosphere of excitement and devotion.
Lunch (your own)
Experience Ilanjithara Melam at Vadakkunnatha Temple. The powerful Panchavadyam is a stunning display of drum beats, trumpets, pipes, and cymbals. The energy of the performance and synchronization of the artists make it an unforgettable experience.
Evening experience
Kudamattam—Umbrella Exchange Ceremony. A breathtaking visual spectacle where caparisoned elephants swap colorful umbrellas rhythmically. The most colorful part of the festival is when two temple teams compete with rapid umbrella changes, vibrant colors, and perfectly synchronized fan-chamar movements on the elephants.

Day 3 – Departure
Early morning, get ready to witness the spectacular fireworks by both Temple teams. The legendary fireworks display that continues into early morning hours. The legendary synchronized fireworks that make the night sky explode with color and sound. Later, back to the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel. Later proceed to the West Gate of Vadakkumnatha Temple to experience Pakal Pooram, a moment when the spirit of devotion reaches its highest peak. The closing ceremony, known as Upacharam Cholli Piriyal, marks the end of the festival. It is an emotional event for the participants and devotees alike.
Check out from the hotel and proceed to the railway station/bus station on your own.
