Day 1: Pickup from Madurai railway station by 09:30AM and transfer to Chettinad hotel. Fresh up and proceed for sightseeing

Attangudi Tile-Making Village: A visit to Attangudi Tile-Making Village offers a glimpse into traditional craftsmanship and the opportunity to take home unique, handmade tiles. Witness artisans creating tiles using traditional techniques. See the various designs and patterns used on the tiles. Interact with local artisans and learn about their craft.

Ayyanar Kovil: The temple is known for its large collection of mud horse sculptures, which are a unique art form in the region. The horses are offered to Ayyanar, a local deity, as a symbol of protection and guardianship. The horses are often decorated with vibrant colors, adding to their artistic value.

Antique Market:- Visit Antique shops. These shops offer a glimpse into the luxurious past of the Chettinad region. You can see Teakwood furniture , brass utensils , vintage lamps and many rare collectibles.

Chettinadu Sari Weavers & shops: - Meet the master weavers and discover the process of creating these luxurious silk sarees, renowned worldwide. See the intricate designs and patterns that are characteristic of Chettinadu sarees. Explore local shops selling Chettinadu sarees and purchase authentic pieces.

Day 2: By 6.30am proceed for Heritage Walk with Local Guide: Begin your day with a Guided Village Heritage Walk, exploring the charming streets of Chettinad. Your knowledgeable guide will regale you with stories of the region's: Admire the grand mansions, intricately carved doors, and ornate facades that showcase the region's unique blend of traditional and European styles.

Old Railway station: The station is situated in the heart of Chettinad, a region with a rich history and a distinct culture centered around the Chettiar (or Nagarathar) community, known for their merchant banking and architectural prowess. 

Old Post Office: It's a remnant of Chettinad's past, showcasing the architectural style of the region's wealthy merchant class. The old post office in Chettinad is a symbol of the region's past, its architectural prowess, and the cultural identity of the Chettiar community. 

Kanadukathan Palace (Outside view only):- This is  one of the most impressive landmarks of Chettinad Region.

Thirumayam Fort: Thirumayam Fort, located near Pudukkottai in Tamil Nadu, is significant for its historical and architectural importance. It was a key stronghold during the Polygar Wars, serving as a refuge for rebel chieftains like Oomathurai. The fort also boasts rock-cut temples, inscriptions, and a strategic design that reflects the engineering skills of its time. 

After lunch  transfer to Madurai. Drop at Railway station by 3.30pm
